Only 20-25 minutes drive from Deep Creek Lake
Directions
From Deep Creek Lake,
Follow 219 North past and over I-68 to stop sign at Route 40. Turn Right
(East) on Rte 40 and follow downhill and uphill to Left Turn at Zehner
Road. There is a roadside picnic area on Rte 40 at this turn and a sign
for Keystone Lime Co. Follow Zehner a short way bearing left at church,
past the Amish Farm and take the first left at Hetrick Road. Go a few
hundred yards to the first driveway on the left and follow driveway back
to the big red barn you can see across the field.
About
20-25 minutes from the Lake.

Available Programs feature several activities that all ages
will find educational and fun. Let the stress melt away 'down-on-the-farm'.
Also available as a custom program for groups and bus tours.
Short Hayride
Tour the back 40 on a haywagon accompanied by a guide. Learn about the
history of the farm and the local plants and animals. Some information
about the old farming ways of the area is shared.
Visit with
the Animals
Learn about and see ancient breeds of Jacob's Sheep and Dexter Cattle.
Also pet and feed baby goats, learn about and see lamas, and take a peek
in the 1880's barn.

Enjoy a Cozy
Campfire
The farm program ends with a campfir. Kick back
and relax around a crackling fire to the sounds of crickets and the peaceful
country. Kids will love pokin around in the woods and chasing frogs
by the pond. Bring a picnic, drinks, or maybe hot dogs for the fire.
We provide marshmallows and sticks. Box lunches or fried chicken dinners
available for an extra charge for groups of 10 or more.
