Our season is in full swing, summer weather coming and goining as it does in Garrett County! Root crops are fattening, tomatoes setting, leafy veggies spreading out. Thank you to all the folks that came out to our Annual Open Farm Day!

Come see us at the Morgantown market on Spruce St., Saturdays at 8:30, in Oakland at the Mt. Fresh Pavillion Saturdays and Wednesdays at 10a.m. and in Frostburg on Fridays at the market on Main St., 9:30-12.

Located at the foot of Backbone Mountain in Pleasant Valley , MD, Backbone Food Farm is a small family farm holding on to the idea that small scale, independent agriculture, stewardship and diversity are not only ideas from the past.  Entering our tenth season as organic growers , we market our products through our CSA (in its 7th year), local farmers markets and local restaurants.
